Jean Masciale-Shoemaker

For more than two decades, Jean Masciale-Shoemaker, LCSW, ACSW has worked as a psychotherapist for Adult and Child Counseling and Psychiatric Center in Melbourne, Florida. A board certified clinical social worker, she specializes in counseling children, adolescents, and adults with special emphasis on families, parenting, crisis intervention, and cognitive-behavioral changes, as well as domestic violence, play therapy, addictions and psychopharmacology.

In addition, she also holds a Certificate in Undergraduate Gerontological Studies through the Multidisciplinary Center on Gerontology at Florida State University.

Over the years, Jean has been published in various journals, including National Health: Brevard’s Medical and Wellness Source. She is extremely active, both professionally and within her community, through such organizations as the National Association of Social Workers’ Space Coast Chapter. In her personal live, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, biking, reading, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.
